Time & James Nachtwey

Tenderloin

An homage to James Nachtwey.

Time Magazine devoted their March 5 issue to one issue and a single photographer, a first in Time’s 95 year history.

The issue, our Opioid Crisis, The Photographer, James Nachtwey. He traveled across America, accompanied by a Time photo editor, to chronicle the pervasiveness of the drugs and their consequences. The 32 photographs make for difficult viewing, but carry a powerful look at our national crisis.

Nachtwey sends a strong message with his camera. Our politicians should view these images, and the comments with them, to get an up-close look.

  1. the work of James Nachtwey is strong and often it hurts. The messages he is sending are very important they show some reality we dont want to face, a reality that however still exists.
