About David Clarkson

David Clarkson currently lives on the Monterey Peninsula in California. As a photographer he is drawn to capturing life as it is now: untarnished in all its reality.

Most often he is wandering the streets of cities, where he chronicles the lives of the every man and woman. The camera shutter clicks and the moment is gone, forever recorded in his black and white photographs. His street photography draws us into a social landscape of emotional subtleties and extremes found in the daily chronicles of life as we know it.

The backdrop of noisy streets, aging buildings, and changing light gives him the stage for the many characters in this play of life.
